The U.S. Coast Guard says they recovered the body of a 78-year-old woman after a boat capsized in Scituate.

A boat was reported in distress near 3rd Cliff around 5 p.m. Saturday. Two passengers were rescued, and numerous agencies responded to search for the second woman, who was reported missing. Local harbormasters, State Police, the Plymouth County Dive Team, and a Coast Guard helicopter searched for hours. The woman, identified as 78-year-old Barbara Warner of Boulder, Colorado was found unresponsive around 9:45 PM by a Coast Guard crew.

The Coast Guard says winds were at nine knots with six-foot seas. The woman was not wearing a life jacket. This was the sixth boater fatality in the Northeast this month.
