The Town of Marshfield is kicking off its new Community EMS program with a BBQ for veterans and seniors Friday (9/24).

Fire Chief Jeff Simpson says this is a mobile platform to provide accessible services to residents.

He says as a one-stop shop, the Fire Department can make sure people are taking proper medication, provide check-ins after a hospital stay, and make sure homes are safe. They can administer vaccines such as the flu shot or the COVID-19 shot.

Residents can find out more by contacting the Fire Department, Council on Aging, the Senior Center, or by emailing AreYouOK@TownofMarshfield.org.
