Each year, the New England Wildlife Centers treat about 5,000 animals at their Cape Cod and Weymouth locations.

Zak Mertz, the Executive Director for the Cape Cod branch, joined WATD’s Christine James in studio to discuss steps people can take if they locate stranded or injured animals.

Mertz says it’s important to call 508-362-0111 for advice before people attempt to move animals. More information can be found at NEwildlife.org.
