Friday morning story time at the Paragon Carousel in Hull takes place today at 10:30 a.m. Today’s characters: Rapunzel!

The Plymouth Pilgrims play tonight at Forges Field at 6:30 p.m. http://www.pilgrimsbaseball.com. Their final home games of the season are Monday and Tuesday night at Forges Field.

Saturday, July 29, 2017:

Check out the 116th Annual Carver Old Home Day today at Shurtleff Park. The event takes place on Route 58 (108 Main Street) in Carver. The fun run for kids under 10 takes place at 7:30 in the morning. Children’s entertainment on the green runs from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Plus, music, a craft show, bicycle and doll carriage parade and classic car show. Click HERE for a full listing of events.

Family Fun Days on Duxbury Beach take place from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Today you can participate in beach combing with Dick Tingblad. Kids of all ages can join Dick for this free quintessential summer pastime. Dick might treat you to one of his famous stories, too.  All programs at the beach meet in the lot on the ocean side of the Powder Point Bridge. Let the harbormaster know you are attending the Mass Audubon program. Non-residents are permitted to use the lot while attending the program.

Visit the Boston Children’s Museum for “Wizarding Day” from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today. Come dressed in your robes and bring your wand! Don’t have a wand? Worry not, you can make one. Potions, Quidditch practice, and much more awaits you. Your house needs your support, so come join us and help them win the House Cup. The Brockton Main Library will host Barnas Monteith, the author of The Furious Case of the Fraudulent Fossil and will present dinosaur fossils and much more! This free event is recommended for grades 5 and over.

It’s time for the annual Hull Lifesaving Museum’s Harbor Illumination festivities from 4:00 – 8:30 p.m. From 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. enjoy family fun and walking tours of historic Hull Village. Children’s activities including build a boat, go aloft and find treasure. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a Coast Guard Commemoration at Hull Cemetery and from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. there will be live music in three spots: Hull Lifesaving Museum, Nantasket Beach Bernie King Pavilion and A Street Pier. At 8:00 p.m. the Lobster Express Boat Parade takes place and the night caps off with the Harbor Illumination at 8:30 p.m. http://www.hulllifesavingmuseum.org/

Sunday, July 30, 2017:

Sunday is Family Fun Day at the Daniel Webster Estate at 238 Webster Street in Marshfield from noon until 4:00 p.m. Free admission – rain or shine – the day includes pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses with a slide and a maze, the children’s ID program, music and food including chowder, burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, homemade cookies and brownies. The Brockton Rox continue their home stand today with a game at 4:00 p.m. It’s Family Fun Day today and it’s meet Elvis day! Doors open at 3:00 p.m. All Sunday Family Fun Days include the opportunity to play catch on the field and meet the players before the game and run the bases after the game. Fun!

The Children’s Museum in Boston costs $1 to enter Fridays from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.! You can manipulate a full-size model and learn how they moved and rearrange bone puzzles to learn about dinosaur anatomy. Check out the Teddy Bear Picnic at the historic Winslow House on Friday July 28th at 10:30 a.m. It’s a colonial build-a-bear. Children will make their own teddy bear to take home and keep forever.
