Head to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary in Norton for their annual Easter Egg hunt running March 24 and 25 as well as March 31 and April 1! The annual fundraiser hunt is a favorite of all ages. Kids can run or meander through the tall pines of the beautiful nature trail and find colorful eggs at their own pace. Before or after the hunt you can tour the sanctuary and meet all of the wonderful animals, or simply sit by a cozy campfire and chat. Grab your Easter basket and bunny hop over to Winslow Farm for this special event! Adult admission is $10 and children 2 and older, $5.


The Mass Audubon Maple Sugar Days at Brookwood Community Farm in Canton runs Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Discover how people learned to get sugar from a tree as you take a walk down “Maple Lane” to meet people who share the maple story and who help you handle and use sugar making tools. Smell the wood smoke as you watch clouds of steam rise from the bubbling sap cooking into syrup in the sugar house. And get a taste of real maple! There will be games, a bonfire, horse-drawn wagon rides. You can grab a bite to eat from a food truck and of course buy some locally-produced maple syrup. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and those under 2 are free. The Whitman Recreation Department is hosting a free Easter Maze Egg Hunt at the Whitman Town Hall Auditorium from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Meet the Easter Bunny, hop through the Easter Maze Egg hunt (bring your own basket!) and enjoy arts and crafts along with face painting and a Jelly bean guess jar. The egg hunt is broken out by time: pre-school egg hunt is from 11:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Kindergarten to Grade 1 from 11:50 – 12:05 p.m., Grades 2 & 3 from 12:10 – 12:20 and grades 4 & 5 from 12:35 – 12:35 p.m.


Head to the Museum of American Bird Art in Canton to see the Mass Audubon’s Blue Hills Trailside Museum’s resident owls for the Owls Live! Festival from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Find out what makes owls unique and which owls you can find in your own backyard. There will be crafts, owl cookies to decorate, face painting, an outdoor owl quest, art projects, refreshments and more! Proceeds of this fundraiser provide scholarships for the Wild at Art Summer Camp. The Children’s Museum in Boston costs $1 to enter Fridays from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.! Current exhibits include Explore-a-Saurus where you can assume the role of scientist and explore the evidence, the science and the features that make dinosaurs so compelling. You can touch and measure a fossil footprint and learn what clues it gives about a dinosaur’s size. You can manipulate a full-size model and learn how they moved and rearrange bone puzzles to learn about dinosaur anatomy.
