Brockton’s Holiday Parade is Saturday from 1 – 3. The 32nd Annual Brockton Holiday Parade and USA Christmas Town Events will celebrate more than 128 Years since James Edgar donned that First Department Store Santa Suit – thus, changing the way we celebrate the holidays world-wide!  Activities start at 9:00 a.m. and the parade begins at 1. http://www.usachristmastown.org

Quincy celebrates the holiday season this weekend and it kicks off Friday, November 23 from 5 – 7 p.m. with the tree lighting on Hancock Adams Common 1305 Hancock Street. Come enjoy the newly opened Hancock-Adams Common, decked with twinkling lights and a host of holiday displays! Mayor Koch and special guests – maybe one from the North Pole – flip the ceremonial switch to bring the holiday spirit to the Common. Heated tents will be set up for this event. On Saturday from noon until 2:00 p.m. Santa arrives by parachute to Pageant Field in Quincy. While waiting for the touchdown of the Jolly Old Elf and friends, take a hayride around the field or “high-five” one of the visiting costumed characters!

On Sunday the 66th annual Christmas Parade steps off at 12:30! Floats, marching bands, and costumed characters fill Quincy streets, spreading holiday joy to all. The parade route begins at the intersection of Hancock Street and Walter J. Hannon Parkway, continuing up Hancock Street to North Quincy High School.

Saturday from noon until 6:00 p.m. eat, shop and stroll in Jackson Square in Weymouth celebrating the holidays and small business Saturday.  There will be caroling and sing-a-longs along with the tree lighting at 5:00 p.m. Santa is visiting too! On Saturday from 4 – 7:00 p.m. head to Rockland for their annual holiday stroll. There will be music and entertainment, hayrides, balloons and Santa of course! https://www.facebook.com/events/502249826867709/ 

Saturday celebrate the 25th annual Humarock HollyDays and tree lighting festival. Kids activities begin at 2:00 p.m. and there will be hayrides by the sea from 3 -5, Victorian carolers at 4:15, and the tree lighting at 5. From 5 – 8 there will be a pizza special at the Voyage – buy 1 cheese get the 2nd for $5. The Marshfield Boys Scout Troop 101 will be selling holiday wreaths and garland! And please bring in an item for the food pantry. And on Sunday, Santa arrives to The Voyage by firetruck at 10:00 a.m. 

Sunday, November 25

Duxbury’s 14th Annual Holly Days is a celebration of the holiday season brought to you by the Duxbury Business Association Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m. This 100% free event will take you on Trolleys all throughout Duxbury allowing you to explore what the town has to offer. Local businesses will all be hosting different events like face-painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, photos with Santa, magicians, free ice cream sundaes, and so much more. While traveling around the town you will also notice some businesses that you may not have even noticed were right here in town. This event acts as a great way for local businesses to show the town how much they love and care about Duxbury. This event is open to anyone in the public not just Duxbury residents!
