Open Barnyard is back at Weir River Farm in Hingham today from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Spring has arrived at the farm – and with it arrives a barnyard full of wide-eyed baby animals. Throughout the spring, join Weir River as they welcome lambs, chicks and piglets to the barnyard (pigs may not arrive until May). Nutmeg the pony, Billy the goat, and the other barnyard regulars are also excited to see you after a long winter. Visit the barnyard with your family to brush a goat, make a barnyard craft, pet a chicken, and more. Talk to a friendly farmer and learn more about life of the farm. While you’re there, take a walk on one of the many farm trails and experience all that Weir River Farm has to offer! Every Saturday, 10am-2pm unless otherwise noted. Parking located at 140 Turkey Hill Lane, then walk down the farm “chute” to the barnyard. (Consider using a baby carrier in lieu of a stroller; the walk down the hill isn’t well suited for average strollers.)
