The Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival takes place this weekend, kicking off on Friday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m.  Admission is free and you can explore the beach to see the sculptures, beach entertainment, food and fireworks! Princess Storytime at the Paragon Carousel in Hull has returned once again this summer. The carousel opens at 10:00 a.m. and story time starts promptly at 10:30 a.m. rain or shine, this event is free and guests may purchase ride tickets to join the Princess storyteller once the story is over. Family Fun Days on Duxbury Beach, today from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – bathyscopes are the activity today! You’ll construct some simple homemade bathyscopes, a viewfinder for underwater exploration and ply the shallows in search of intertidal life. Some shallow wading will be involved. Great for kids of all ages – no fee and no registration required! Meet in the lot on the ocean side of the Powder Point Bridge. Tell the harbormaster you are attending the Mass Audubon program. Hull Lifesaving Museum Harbor Illumination is today from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. At 4 there will be a Coast Guard Commemoration at Hull Cemetery; 5:00 p.m. there will be a Newfoundland Dog Club of New England water rescue demo across from the cemetery; from 6 – 8 there will be live music on A Street Pier and family activities including bubbles, crafts, snacks and games at Hull Lifesaving Museum including fire jugglers, too! The 11th annual Family Fun Day at the Daniel Webster Estate in Marshfield takes place from noon until 4:00 p.m. Admission is free but there are fees for food and activities. A special event today in Marshfield at the Boys & Girls Club from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with Hot Shots Soccer. It’s a Super Soccer Clinic open to girls k – 7 who will be helping to kick for a cause! The clinic will feature stations staffed by highly qualified high school and college coaches from Marshfield High School and Stonehill College girl’s/women’s soccer teams! Each station will be designed to target and develop a specific soccer skill. Participants are encouraged to wear cleats and shin pads, and bring their own ball if they can (not required). The cost is $25 per kiddo and the proceeds will go to Kate Mullin Carreiro and her fight against Polycystic Kidney Disease.
