John is a 2004 graduate of the New England Institute of Art in Brookline, Mass and originally started at WATD in the summer of 2003 as an intern for Cathy Dee. After that, John interned at various stations in the Boston area until he was hired by the Talking Information Center shortly after graduation thanks to a recommendation from WATD.

The Talking Information is a Radio Reading Service that broadcasts newspapers, magazines, books and more twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to visually-impaired listeners throughout Massachusetts. They broadcast over WATD’s sub-carrier and their offices are located in the WATD building.

While at the TIC, he was hired by WATD as their Webmaster and Assistant Music Director. His responsibilities at WATD include everything from creating and updating station websites and updating WATD’s extensive music library to production and even working on-air as a fill-in DJ when needed. He is also WATD’s Public Service Director. John still works at TIC on weekday mornings and then makes his way up to WATD in the afternoon.
