Check out the “Heave, Hoist & Haul: Simple Machines at Sea” exhibit at the Hull Lifesaving Museum in Hull. This new exhibit for kids will show how many of the maritime objects in our exhibits–oars, boats, blocks & tackles-really function as simple machines-levers, pulleys, wedges and more! It’s “Opening Day” of the 64th season at Plimouth Plantation beginning today at 8:30 a.m. From 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. there will be a Farm Fresh Breakfast Buffet. At 9:00 a.m. there will be recognition of Reverend Peter Gomes and from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. the annual rare breeds animal parade  will take place! Come and explore Ellisville Harbor State Park at night on Saturday, March 19th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. The hike starts at sunset and end by the light of the full moon! You will hike along Ellisville Marsh, stop at the Overlook where you can see Cape Cod Bay, and then travel through old farm fields. Perhaps you’ll see the moon reflected on the bay or hear an owl in the distance. You’ll finish the hike with hot chocolate and a snack. Dress for the weather, wear good winter boots and bring a flashlight! Meet at the first parking lot on Route 3A in Plymouth. For adults and children 10+ who can walk at a moderate to brisk pace.
