Mass Audubon of Marshfield invites you to “A Nutty Celebration” today from 10:30am to 12:00noon. That’s right, it’s Squirrel Appreciation Day, and they’re throwing a party for the squirrels! Despite their unpopularity with gardeners and many people who feed birds, these tree climbing, chitter-chattering, nut gathering mammals not only have some amazing adaptations, but they’re pretty entertaining to observe. Through activities, crafts, and trail explorations, come join the fun and experience a day in the life of a squirrel! The event is $10; $7 for Mass Audubon members. For more information, visit www.massaudubon.org/southshore or contact Amy Quist at 781-837-9400 or aquist@massaudubon.org
