Also, Ned says they’ll be having their first monthly walk this Saturday morning. It should be a nice family time to walk and learn about Marshfield. Nothing like getting out in the fresh air. The walks starts at 8am at the Recreation Department at 900 Ferry Street in Marshfield. There is limited space, so please register with the Marshfield Recreation Department at 781-834-5543.

Check out the Myles Standish Monument in Duxbury today from 10am to 3pm. Myles to the Top: Myles Standish Monument Opening High atop Captain’s Hill, 200 feet above sea level, stands the Myles Standish Monument. This 116 foot granite shaft is crowned by a 14 foot statue of Captain Myles Standish, military leader of Plymouth Colony. Today, from 10am to 3pm, Myles Standish Monument will be open for visitors to climb and explore. Take the 125 step journey to the top of the Monument and, if it is a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic scenic vista of the Cape and Southeastern Massachusetts. Rain or shine – thunderstorm or severe storm will cancel. For all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult in the Monument. For more information, call (508) 866-2580 x164. Why not Toe “Jam-Out” at an Earth day Celebration on April 28th. Green Hanson in partnership with the Hanson Children’s Museum presents the 4th annual Earth Day Celebration where kids can participate in face painting, rock painting and bouncy houses while listening to the sounds of the Toe Jam Puppet Band.
