Check out the “Feed the Animals” event today at 10:00am. Visit as the naturalists take time to stop and visit with all of the animals and give them what they need most – food! It’s Cranberry Day at the South Shore Natural Science Center in Norwell today. Fall is the season for cranberries; stop by and discover how and why they bounce, float, and grow in bogs right here in Southeastern MA! Drop in to explore the wonders of this little round fruit that packs a nutritious punch and learn how the Native Americans and Colonists relied upon the cranberry for food and medicine. The Plymouth Veteran’s Day Parade takes place today at 9:30am. The Parade Route: From Hedge Road the parade will turn left heading south on to Court Street to Cherry Street, turning west heading to Standish Ave. Turn South on to Standish Ave, stop at the Veterans Field Memorial, World War One Memorial for a brief ceremony. The parade will proceed south turn left on to Hamilton Street turning right on to Court Street to Memorial Hall, World War II and Spanish War memorials for a brief ceremony, proceed south down Court Street to Plymouth County Court House, Korea and Vietnam Memorial for a brief ceremony. The parade will continue south on Court Street to the WWI Memorial Bridge for a brief ceremony. The Parade will end at the Plymouth Training Green with a ceremony for the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial. In the event of inclement weather, a ceremony will be held indoors at 10:30am in Memorial Hall at 83 Court Street.

The Brockton Veterans Day Parade is today at 10:00am. Celebrate and honor our veterans with Brockton’s annual Veterans’ Day Parade. The parade will start in front of the War Memorial Building, 156 West Elm Street and continue west, turning left onto Newbury Street toward Belmont Street.  The procession will turn left onto Belmont Street toward Main Street, then turn left onto Main Street, then right onto Crescent Street.  The parade will then proceed down VFW Parkway toward City Hall Plaza.  A brief ceremony will follow the parade.
