In what was described as a busy day for the Plymouth Fire Department, a 59-year-old man was medflighted after a motorcycle crash.
Fire Chief Ed Bradley says they responded to the crash at Route 3 Southbound, near Exit 2 at Herring Pond Road.
On arrival, firefighters and paramedics found the man suffering from head trauma, along with neck and back injuries. He was conscious, but unresponsive to verbal communication.
Medflight was requested to Elmer Raymond Field, about a half-mile away. A 20-minute response time was reported.
Firefighters and paramedics treated the man and got him ready for transport, but made the decision to transport the man to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
He was stabilized at the hospital before he was Medflighted to Boston Medical Center for urgent care.
