Massachusetts State Police are searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting and injuring a Trooper during a traffic stop last week.
The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Andre K. Sterling.
Sterling is accused of shooting Trooper John Lennon in Barnstable at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Lennon was struck in the hand. He has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
Sterling is being charged with Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession of a Firearm, Assault & Battery with a Firearm, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
He also has other outstanding warrants in Massachusetts and Wyoming.
Sterling is considered armed and dangerous.
