Abington School Superintendent Peter Schafer says all schools will shift to a remote learning model with a rise in COVID-19 cases over recent days.
Schafer says 10 new cases have been identified in members of the school community. Over the last 14 days, 188 residents have tested positive – the town’s positivity rate is 8.1 percent.
Schafer expects that cases will increase in the coming days. The remote model starts today to December 22nd.
The schools plan on returning to a hybrid schedule on January 4th.
Breakfast and lunch will still be available through December 21st.
