Carver Police Chief Marc Duphily said a male resident died of injuries after a head-on crash on Route 58.

Around 10:40 p.m. on Friday, Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the crash near 192 Main Street.

Police say it appears a vehicle was traveling south, when it crossed the center line and struck a vehicle that had been driving northbound.

Emergency personnel removed the drivers of the vehicles, who were entrapped. The operator of the southbound vehicle was transported to the Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth, where he died due to his injuries.

The operator of the other vehicle was transported with non-life threatening injuries.

Carver Police are investigating the crash, along with the State Police.
