A suspect being sought in connection with a fatal Brockton shooting was arrested at Logan Airport.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that on July 24 shortly before midnight officers were dispatched to a home on Vesey St. for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival they located a male victim, later identified as 22-year-old Romualdy Pierre-Charles, with gunshot wounds.

He was determined to be deceased.

Surveillance video showed that three individuals approached the home when the shooting began and one of the suspects, identified as 23-year-old Giovanni Carapinha, was injured in the shooting and taken to Boston Medical Center by his alleged accomplices.

The DA’s office says another suspect, identified as 20-year-old Marcus Miranda, was taken into custody at Logan Airport on Monday night while trying to board a plane to Portugal.

Miranda was arraigned Tuesday in Brockton District Court and was ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty to charges including Murder, Unlawful Possession of A Firearm, Unlawful Possession of A Loaded Firearm, Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon, Discharging a Firearm Within 500 feet of a dwelling, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

He will return to court August 14.

Carapinha remains at Boston Medical Center for treatment and the DA’s office says he will be arraigned at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
