Three South Shore towns held special elections Saturday.
East Bridgewater voters approved a debt exclusion that will fund the construction of a new Central Elementary School.
There were 719 votes or 53 percent in favor and 477 or 47 percent opposed.
The project cost is about $125 million and will add about $840 annually for the next 30 years when the loan is expected to be paid off.
Officials say the 74-year-old existing school has numerous issues including poor air quality, accessibility, plumbing, and heating.
Kingston voters also gave the thumbs up to a debt exclusion to partially replace the deteriorating roof at the Kingston Elementary School.
The $1.6 million project was narrowly approved by just 70 votes, 294 in support and 224 opposed.
The state is expected to pay about half of the cost.
