Plymouth: Mayflower II Bell Gets First Ring At Plimoth Plantation

The new bell for the Mayflower II was completed during a ceremony at Plimoth Plantation on Sept. 1, 2019.

Many veterans donated their medals that were added to the metal that was used to cast the new Mayflower II Ship Bell.

Petty officer 3rd class Denis M. Russell US Navy, Vietnam Veteran Easter offensive 1972 proud to donate his Navy Brass Belt buckle inscribed with his wife’s name. This went with him from DaNang and Quan Tri well up to North Vietnam , Do Son Peninsula, and Haiphong on all combat missions and troop support gunfire.

He will also present( His Father’s) PFC John M Russell US ARMY Honorable service lapel pin He stormed the beaches in the invasion of Normandy in WWII June 6, 1944 “ D Day” Dedicated to all WWII veterans.

Sergeant Michael Bartnowski US air Force Vietnam Veteran 1968-1969 Runway Maintenance in Bien Hoa prowdly donates his Vietnam Service Medal

Master Sergeant Paul E. Jennings. Vietnam Veteran US Marine Corps Marine Gunner, proud to donate his Air Crew Wings earned as a Huey Crew Chief and door Gunner in the Marine Reserve Helicopter Squadron HML-771 where he also served in Desert Storm

Sergeant Edward Borkin US Army, Vietnam Veteran Served aboard amphibious crafts in Qui Non conducting daily missions in both 1965-1966 and from 1969 to 1970. He donates his brass buckle that was with him during his time in service and in country.

Chief Petty Officer Ronald Flockton US Navy Vietnam Veteran. A paratrooper who also served in the underwater demo Seal team completing many missions while both in DaNang and Phu Bi. He proudly donates his Brass Belt buckle.

Petty Officer 3rd class Robert Davidson US Navy Vietnam Veteran who served aboard a mine sweeper conducting many dangerous missions up and down the entire coast of Vietnam. He proudly donates his Vietnam Service medal.

Chief Petty Officer John “Jack” Best US Navy Vietnam Veteran who served aboard the USS Providence in the Tonkin Gulf 1966-1967 and in Cam Ron Bay 1968-1969Maintaining Naval Swift Boats He proudly donates his Navy Chief Petty officer Lapel Pin

Staff Sergeant Larry Glass US Army Vietnam Veteran served 1970-1971 Centre Dog handler in Long Binh and in Bearcat Base in Dong Nai Province Proudly donates his Military memorial medal.

Major Jim Paulette Jr US Marine Corps Veteran. He is proud to donate his Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal and his Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal from his USMC Service . The Major was deployed to Kosovo in 2018 with the Army

Master Sergeant Carin Paulette US Army Veteran Is proud to donate her Honor Guard Belt Buckle. The Master Sergeant Deployed to Kuwait in 2005 while continuing military operations.
