In Brockton, police detectives assigned to the gang unit seized a loaded pistol and fentanyl after a traffic stop.
Around 1 a.m. on Friday, Brockton Police say a traffic stop was conducted on an Infinity Sedan after it had crossed a double yellow line near Field and Montello Streets.
The driver, identified as 20-year-old Antoine Montrond, of Brockton was allegedly operating the vehicle on a suspended license.
Police had him and his passenger exit the vehicle so they could check for weapons. A loaded Glock 23 .40 caliber pistol was confiscated with 12 rounds of ammo. Police also seized 24 grams of fentanyl.
Montrond faces charges that include Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammo and a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, a Marked Lanes Violation, and Trafficking in more than 10 grams of Fentanyl.
