Some houses of worship reopening and nursing homes get aid.
BOSTON (AP) — Some houses of worship are welcoming people back for services in Massachusetts and Vermont but with restrictions. Rev. Steve Warner says they’re taking extra precaution as they allow parishioners back into the Brockton Assembly of God. Parishioners must wear masks and certain pews are roped off to allow for social distancing. Meanwhile, in New Hampshire, members of the state’s Congressional delegation say the state’s nursing homes are getting critical financial help but they will continue to push for more. In Rhode Island, a firefighter has tested positive for the coronavirus in the town of East Greenwich and eight of the force’s 33 firefighters are quarantined. And an iconic pizza shop in Connecticut has gotten the green light from the state to add outdoor dining.
