A Plympton man is facing charges after driving a car into Plymouth Harbor early Wednesday morning.
Plymouth Police say that at around midnight their counterparts in Plympton said they received a report of a stolen vehicle heading their way.
An officer spotted the vehicle around 12:45 a.m. and attempted to stop it, but the driver fled the scene.
The vehicle was later spotted on Water St. and a traffic stop was initiated but the driver took off driving through the parking lot, then the boat ramp before ending up in the water.
Police say the driver, 39-year-old Ryan Reilly, extricated himself from the vehicle and then charged at officer causing them to use a taser on him.
Reilly was taken into custody on charges including Failure to Stop for Police; Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle; and Resisting Arrest.
