BOSTON (AP) — Thousands of people have demonstrated peacefully in a Boston park to protest police brutality against black people. Demonstrators on Tuesday staged a “die-in” on a major city thoroughfare before marching across Franklin Park. Police reported no violence or unrest as protesters began to disperse. Democratic U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley and other Massachusetts politicians, meanwhile, outlined a series of steps Tuesday they say is needed to confront systemic racism. The events were part of a week of protests sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, including large demonstrations that later became violent in Boston on Sunday.
