Sidewalk cafes are sprouting in downtown Plymouth.
The Commonwealth has allowed restaurants to open but only to outside service. In Plymouth eating establishments with access to outside areas have already accepted guests. They’re on the waterfront or in Manomet. But that leaves the lively downtown scene out. So, the Plymouth Reopening Task Force has a plan to narrow Main Street and much of Court Street to one lane traveling south and expanding sidewalks into the street. The select board approved the plan Tuesday and as soon as the town DPW can put barriers and signs in place, it’s dining Al fresco downtown.
