A man is facing charges after allegedly shooting another man in the face with a BB gun.

Wareham Police say that shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday officers were sent to Swifts Beach Rd. where they received information that the suspect had fled the scene in a dark colored pick-up truck. Officers then went to the home of the suspect, 62-year-old Bryan Ewan, where they officers observed the truck parked in a space at 815 Main St., and noticed a BB gun on the front console. Police say when Ewan opened his apartment door, the officers advised him he was under arrest; however he resisted and attempted to shut the door. Officers then located a loaded firearm tucked in his waistband after he was subdued. Police say this wasn’t a random incident and that the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Ewan was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, possession of a firearm without a permit, possession of ammunition without a permit, and resisting arrest.
