A man was hospitalized following a fall from the Quarries in Quincy.
Officials say that after 9:30 a.m. Thursday they received a call from a hiker who discovered the man after hearing him groaning.
Emergency crews and numerous rescue apparatus were called in and they were able to get him out safely.
The victim, identified as a 60-year-old male, had fallen roughly 40 feet and remained at the scene for two days until he was found.
Officials say he suffered major injuries although he was conscious and alert at the time of transport.
