Rockland: No Injuries after Car Crashes into Vivi’s Kitchen

by | Jul 7, 2020 | News

There were no injuries after a car drove through the front of a restaurant in Rockland.

The crash took place around 11 a.m. today at Vivi’s Kitchen, off the VFW Parkway. Police say a 2010 Toyota Camry was completely in the seating area of the restaurant.

Police Lieutenant Nicholas Zeoli says “operator error” appears to be the cause of the crash. A 69-year-old Rockland woman hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while trying to park.

The driver was evaluated at the scene by the Rockland Fire Department and was able to walk away from the crash. There were no other injuries.

The restaurant is closed while repairs are being made.
