Two Brockton high school students were recognized as part of a diversity internship program at Copeland Toyota.
Todd Copeland created the diversity internship program after being inspired by Mayor Robert Sullivan’s call for unity after a peaceful protest became violent in Brockton.
Copeland says the program worked and has inspired the two students to become leaders.
Chloe Livingston and Dourvens Bleus were chosen as the two paid interns and they both agree that what they took from the experience was learning better communication skills.
Chloe says she learned not to take things personally when dealing with customers.
Dourven worked in the parts department and says communication skills came in handy.
Todd Copeland celebrated 50 years in business this week in Brockton and Mayor Sullivan thanked the students and Copeland Auto for giving back to the community.
