The town of Norwell will be looking for a new Chief of Police come November.
WATDs David Cedrone has the story:
Norwell Police Chief Ted Ross started with the department 33 years ago at the age of 19 as a dispatcher and announced he will retire in the fall.
Norwell Town Administrator Peter Morin says the next step is to find a replacement with a search committee.
The search committee would hire a consultant firm to narrow the candidates down and then the board of selectmen would choose the final candidate after interviews
Board of selectmen also discussed the upgrades to the towns email and instead of using a server the town will use the cloud to eliminate dropped service.
