In Plymouth, Senator Susan Moran and State Representative Matt Muratore secure $150,000 for economic recovery assistance.
Bobbi Clark has more:
Senator Moran is concerned about job loss:
“So, with respect to the economic recovery funds, we’re looking at coming out of COVID-19 having more jobs, or having jobs that folks who may have lost them during COVID-19, can pivot to.”
Included in the bill is money set aside for Pilgrim Hall Museum and the Antiquarian Society to support them through the coronavirus state of emergency. And Moran worked with the Town Manager to get funding for roadways:
“We’ve also worked with Melissa in terms of some road repair funds—the town has been really trying to improve its roadways.”
Moran helped to secure money for replacement of the Bourne and Sagamore bridges:
“So three and a half million for the district, which will be the money that prepares the bridges for complete replacement. So, it’ll be things like putting folks to work doing on-ramps, doing the design, doing the actual preparation for both the Bourne and the Sagamore. Now that replacement won’t happen for a number of years.”
