The Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth will be hosting a virtual “Hooray for Heroes” event to salute front-line staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christopher Smalley, the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, said Boston Comedian Tony V will be the emcee of the hour-long event.
The event will take place Wednesday, August 19th at 6 p.m. on the Beth Israel Deaconess Facebook page.
“We’re really going to use the opportunity to shine a light and spotlight stories of our front-line caregivers and the patients that they serve during the height of the COVID surge,” said Smalley.
PAC TV will be involved in the program, and musical guests will include Aldous Collins, Abby Vail, 3rd Left, Sparrow Blue, members of the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra.
“The proceeds from the Hooray for Heroes event will support the configuration of additional private rooms in our Emergency Department,” said Smalley. “That’s really to allow for the safety needs of the community, and respond to the challenges that lie ahead – specific to COVID-19.”
