Town officials say the break took place in the area of Jericho Rd. and Beacon Rd. and is expected to disrupt service in the area for the next 6 to 8 hours.
Residents are being urged to take necessary precautions and check for discoloration that may be in the water as the service is restored.
In addition residents are being told to allow the water to flush before using and check before doing laundry.
