A Brockton man has been ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday, at his arraignment, to shooting a pregnant woman in the head.
Prosecutors say 26-year-old Shaun Holiday reportedly shot the victim in the head inside an apartment at 622 North Main Street, in Brockton, on September 8th.
Officers responding to a 9-1-1 call found the woman outside the apartment with a single gunshot wound to her temple, she was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where she remains.
Three young children were found inside the apartment, one identified Holiday as their father.
Holiday, who police say wrapped his left arm around the woman’s neck from behind while holding a .40 caliber gun to her temple and fired, then fled the building.
Holiday faces numerous charges including assault to murder, armed with a firearm and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and more.
His dangerousness hearing is scheduled for September 22nd.
