Massachusetts 4th Norfolk District Democratic Representative James Murphy was first elected in 2001, successfully fending off all challengers.
This year Melissa Smith, ran a Primary campaign based around “government is how we take care of each other.”
Murphy is the winner with a total of 6,357 votes over Smith, who received 3,039 (100% precincts reporting).
The 4th Norfolk District comprises of most of Weymouth and one precinct of Hingham.
