Authorities are appealing to the public for information after a fatal stabbing in Quincy.

The Norfolk District Attorney’s office said Saturday that 24-year-old Cameron Nohmy died after being stabbed in a parking lot in the city’s Wollaston section at about 10:45 p.m. Friday.

He was transported to Boston Medical Center but later died of his injuries.

Detectives from the Quincy Police Department and state police worked through the night collecting potential evidence. Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey asked anyone with information to contact police.
