Scituate: Egypt Beach Restoration Projects Continues with Smaller Stones

Scituate residents will be able to view stones delivered to Egypt Beach before the berm project continues.
The town recently started a project to replace stones that have washed away from the berm that lines the entire section of the shore line at Egypt Beach and residents were not happy with the size of the stones that were placed on the Mann Hill section.
Scituate Town Administrator Jim Boudreau says the new rocks will be much smaller than those used on the Mann Hill section.
Scituate residents protested last week on the day the project was supposed to continue and town officials delayed the project until a review on the design was complete.
The stone for Egypt Beach will arrive sometime today.
