Weymouth: Equipment Problem at Compressor Station Today

There was an equipment issue at the Weymouth Compressor station today (9/11/20).
Max Bergeron, a spokesman for station owner Enbridge tells WATD News that at approximately 9 a.m. Friday they experienced an issue with a piece of equipment.
He says personnel on site “rapidly initiated the isolation and controlled venting of natural gas from the compressor station.”
Bergeron says they notified local and state officials and are “working to address the issue and are proceeding with safety as our priority.”
He says they are currently testing and calibrating piping and equipment at the facility.
