One man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Brockton hotel.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that shortly before 6:30 p.m. Friday Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting at the Super 8 Motel.
Officers arrived on scene and were directed to a room where they found a male victim, later identified as 20 year-old Christopher Lascase of Brockton, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Lascase was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation commenced which resulted in the arrest of 22-year-old D’Vante Bly-Mollenthiel of Brockton around 3 p.m. Sunday.
Bly-Mollenthiel is scheduled to appear in Brockton District Court Monday where he will be arraigned on a Murder charge.
The District Attorney’s Office says this does not appear to be a random act of violence and that an investigation is active and ongoing.
