Another person has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Brockton hotel.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that 39-year-old Valdir Rodrigues of Weymouth was taken into custody Monday in connection with the Friday night shooting at the Super 8 Motel.
The shooting was reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. and upon arrival officers were directed to a room where they found the victim, later identified as 20-year-old Christopher Lascase of Brockton, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Lascase was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he was pronounced dead.
The other suspect in the case, 22-year-old DVante Bly-Mollenthiel of Brockton, was arrested Sunday and arraigned Monday in Brockton District Court, he pleaded not guilty to one count of Murder, and was held without bail.
Rodrigues is scheduled to be arraigned today in Brockton District Court on one count of Murder.
Update 10/27/20 at 1 PM: Rodrigues pleads not-guilty.
