If your home has a dark history and possible paranormal activity, you don’t necessarily have to disclose that to a potential buyer.
Mark Stiles, an attorney with Stiles Law in Marshfield, told the South Shore’s Morning News this law covers many situations.
However, Stiles says that you can’t lie if you are asked.
The Massachusetts General Law – Part I, Title XV, Chapter 93, Section 114 states “The fact or suspicion that real property may be or is psychologically impacted shall not be deemed to be a material fact required to be disclosed in a real estate transaction.”
