Some good news for the North River Commission and all the people who enjoy the scenic beauty of the north river, the only scenic protected river in the commonwealth.
The state funding to help protect the river appeared to be either not coming through or in a state of limbo.
State Rep. Dave DeCoste of Norwell, says they were able to resolve the issue Tuesday.
The funds used through the north river commission help pay for a patrol boat to traverse up and down the 12 miles of river, and for a part time staff person that helps administer the development proposals that are proposed in the corridor.
The six towns within the scenic corridor of the north river include: Scituate, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Hanover, and Hanson.
