Pembroke’s Board of Selectmen discussed a rise in COVID-19 numbers and allowing outdoor seating permits until the end of the year.
The board passed an extension for outdoor seating until the end of the year and Pembroke’s co-director and interim Fire Chief Ken McCormick says he met with town safety officials and put the extended permit together.
There are 24 new cases of COVID-19 in Pembroke. McCormick says the cases are not clustered at one spot, the new cases are from people that work in high risk positions and he wants everyone in town to take all safety precautions seriously.
The Department of Public Health reported the death toll from confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide is 9,567.
