In Plymouth, Town Clerk Pearl Sears says thousands of absentee ballots are in the mail.
Bobbi Clark has more:
Town Clerk Pearl Sears says they were told by the Secretary of the Commonwealth that the town would have the absentee ballots on Monday of this week…
“…but we received them early. We received them last Friday. We spent the whole weekend mailing them out and getting them ready for Monday. But 6,000 have, or are about to go out.”
Sears says early voting begins soon:
“Early voting: October 17th through the 30th. Feel free to come by, vote your ballot and know that you’re all set. Polls will be open as usual and we’ll have lots of safety measures.”
As part of those safety measures two people will be allowed in the Clerk’s office at one time. Early voting begins on October 17th and continues daily through October 30th. But the hours vary, so for that information, check the town’s website at plymouth-ma.gov.
