As of tomorrow, Plymouth will be officially designated as a high COVID-19 transmission risk community since it will be labeled red on the state’s weekly maps for three consecutive weeks. This, according to a reverse 911 call initiated by the Board of Health Monday afternoon.
Bobbi Clark has more:
The call stated further that the town will remain as a high-risk community until they are not in the red category for three consecutive weeks. This will likely take at least a month or longer. This means that the town must return to phase 3 step 1 of the reopening guidelines rather than remaining in phase 3 step 2. The result of this measure is that restaurants will be allowed to seat only 6 people at a table instead of 10. There will be no seating at bars. No indoor event venues like the Spire Center and Memorial Hall will be allowed to open. There will be no reopening of fitting rooms. The Board of Health asks that people avoid gatherings of more than 10 non-household individuals in both private and public locations. Close contacts should be restricted to family members residing in the same household. You should properly wear face coverings when outside your home or property at all times when others are nearby.
