Three people were transported to the hospital after a crash involving an ambulance in Brockton.
Police Spokesman Darren Duarte says firefighters extricated two EMT’s from a Brewster Ambulance after the crash around 2:43 p.m. at 1,005 Belmont Street.
A van driven by an unlicensed Easton man crashed into the ambulance, causing it to roll over and land on the driver’s side. Firefighters removed the windshield and got the male driver and a female passenger out.
The EMT’s were not transporting a patient at the time of the crash. All three people were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center with minor injuries.
The operator of the van told police he was driving eastbound on Belmont Street when the ambulance pulled out of the gas station at Belmont and Manley Streets. He said he jammed his brakes, but was unable to stop.
Police cited him for operating without a license.
