The lives of two women were taken Tuesday in fatal Brockton motor vehicle crashes.
At around 3:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 123 and Pearl St.
Witnesses at the scene say a man ran a red light and crashed into two vehicles, killing one of the other drivers.
A man was arrested at the scene.
Later Tuesday, around 6:15 p.m. a woman was struck by a motor vehicle, near 259 Pleasant St., and the driver fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Neither Brockton victim has been identified.
Both incidents are under investigation.
