Cohasset: Middle and High Schools Switch to Remote Learning after Underage Party

The Cohasset Middle and High School will switch to fully-remote learning for two weeks, after police responded to a party at a home on Jerusalem Road.

Police Chief William Quigley says Friday night around 11 p.m., police responded after multiple reports of the large gathering.

On arrival, police saw 20 juveniles at the home. Some ran to a nearby wooded area. Police identified those who remained, and arranged for their parents to pick them up.

The homeowners were issued a $500 fine in violation of Governor Charlie Baker’s order for a 10-person limit on indoor gatherings.

School Superintendent Patrick Sullivan said in a letter to parents that students who attended the party should get tested for COVID-19.
