Hingham Police are looking to speak with a man who spoke to a girl near a bus stop.

Police say they received a report on Thursday that a man spoke with the 12-year-old after she got off the school bus shortly after noon on French St. and Manatee Rd.

The man began to follow behind the girl asking her questions about her school.

She turned off Manatee Rd. and the man kept walking on Manatee Rd. and the girl ran home where she locked the doors and called her parents.

Officers responded but weren’t able to locate the man.

Police say this appears to be an unintentional encounter in which the man did not have any criminal intent and they want the man to contact Officer Bryan LoBianco at 781-749-1212 so they can confirm this.
