Two Hingham Police Officers were injured Thursday after being attacked by a man who refused to leave a job site.
The man and two Officers were transported to the hospital. All were treated and released. The man was arrested and faces several charges.
On Thursday, Officers went to a home on Thaxter Street for a report by a landscaping company that an employee refused to leave after the job was completed.
The foreman told Officers the employee refused to leave and continued to work despite being told several times the work they had been hired for was completed.
Officers attempted to speak with the man and he immediately became confrontational and aggressive and hit an Officer with a rake.
The Officer backed up and the man immediately charged at him, so the Officer fired his Taser as he continued to back up. The man continued to swing at Officers as they attempted to handcuff him. A third Officer attempted to assist while the man continued struggling and resisting. An Officer fired his Taser again and eventually they were able to handcuff him.
The man was transported under arrest to the hospital by Hingham Fire Paramedics. The two Officers who were injured were also transported to the hospital for their injuries. All were released that day.
After being cleared from the hospital, 31-year-old Nathaniel E. Murray of Randolph, was booked and is charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.
He was released on personal recognizance to be arraigned at Hingham District Court.
